Our Roots

Most of my life has been around produce. When I was 10 years old, every Saturday my mum would drop me off in Fulham to work on my grandad and uncle’s fruit stall. When I was 12, I would cycle from Kingston to Fulham to help set up the stall and then wait for the lorry, full to the brim with fruit purchased from New Covent Garden Market that morning.

I met Peter May when I was 20. He was one of my dad’s friends, and he taught me about the industry and the complexities of buying. We quicky became friends for life. In 2005, we started County Supplies London together. He sadly passed in 2018 but his presence is everywhere and in everything that we do, and he will never be forgotten.

Today, we supply London’s top restaurants and prestigious kitchens with an ever-growing list of produce. We’ve grown from 15 people to 45, and now operate a shiny fleet of 15 FORS accredited vans. And that’s not all—this year we’ll be moving into a new 7500 sq. ft, fully temperature-controlled warehouse in New Covent Garden Market.

Our Vision for
a Greener Future

Eco Friendly Produce Delivery - County Supplies London

Helping you
be eco-friendly

We regularly help customers and advise kitchens on reducing the amount of packaging they use — from recyclable brown bags and returnable crates to our composite, fully biodegradable County Supplies packaging — or how they can reduce their cardboard and plastic packaging to almost zero.

Sustainable Fruit and Vegetable Sourcing - County Supplies London

Reducing emissions with
a clean fleet

Air pollution is a major problem in London. To do our part for a cleaner UK, we’ve begun decommissioning our diesel vehicles. By 2030 our plan is to have an entire fleet of electric vehicles.

Sustainable Farming - County Supplies London

Sustainable farming
first

We all need to do our part to protect the planet for future generations. That’s why we’re proud of our accreditations. We try to work with people who live up to high standards of sustainable farming.
